SUPPORTING PanCAN
In honor of Lake Lure's most popular guest, Patrick Swayze, the Lake Lure Dance Festival supports PanCAN in its quest to "create a world in which all patients with pancreatic cancer thrive."
A Longstanding Festival Beneficiary:
Beginning in 2013, the Festival in Lake Lure became an official event of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), raising proceeds each year to give back towards the fight of finding a cure. Through onsite and online fundraising efforts, donations are made to help find a cure and support people facing Pancreatic Cancer. The Festival's dedication to this cause remains a standing tribute to the film’s late star, Patrick Swayze, who passed away from the disease in 2009.
